Ms Cathy Jenkins

Cathy has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Theology, from Melbourne College of Divinity, a Graduate Diploma in Religious Education from Yarra Theological Union and a Masters degree in Leaderhsip and Management from Australian Catholic University. She was deputy principal at Genazzano FCJ College, having taught in a number of other Catholic secondary Colleges in Melbourne.

She is currently the Director: Archbishop’s Office for Evangelisation for the Archdiocese of Melbourne. Cathy’s work in the Archdiocese is in the area of the ‘new’ evangelisation where she develops strategies for parish connectedness, enhances a ‘spirituality of communion’ between agencies, interacts and supports parish leaders, identifies and is responsive to the formation needs of parish leaders and those in ministry as well as lead a dynamic agency for evangelisation.

Cathy is also the Archbishop’s nominee on various committees including; Australian Catholic Council for Lay Pastoral Ministry, Catholic Engagement Strategy Group, Office for the Participation of Women, The Australian Hymn Book Company and the Committee for the Ongoing Formation of Clergy. In addition Cathy has also been appointed to co-ordinate the Plenary Council 2020 process for the Archdiocese.
